Taking The Crumbs
Animals do not set out to teach us anything. Their priorities have nothing to do with the tightly bound agendas we cling ourselves to.
They do not know what the economy is; they are unaware of the country they live in; they have no new ideas; nor do they care about what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. They don’t rush to get married or promoted. They simply look in the right direction.
They are unaware of the inner turmoil of the person who leaves a few crumbs of bread for them. They simply take the crumbs and move on.
Beautiful Things Don’t Ask For Attention
Animals have no socioeconomic realities; they are not subject to categorization or geographical boundaries.
They truly live in harmony with their true existence.
They don’t stand in front of a mirror trying to boost their confidence, nor do they change outfits multiple times a day before meeting friends. They don’t have different versions for different occasions. They only got one. One true version that they offer to lovers, friends, flockmates, and parents. They can simply take it, or leave it.
What Does Truly Matter?
A world surrounded by animals prompts us to reflect on what truly matters. It makes us consider how little impact the things we overinvest in actually have on our true purpose of existence.
The things that bring us joy in unexpected moments are often far simpler than the ones we spend our lives chasing.
We surely aren’t made to live in tiny office cubicles, being overworked, stuck in traffic, and feeling small. All the time. We are so far away from our natural range.
Wherever
Sometimes, one should spend a day like a bird, a lizard, or even an insect; allowing ourselves to be guided by our instincts, our desire to live, to love, to eat, to rest, and to follow our hearts.
Wherever they may take us.
