Path To Living

Dying is the path to living. We see in nature that only endings allow beginnings to take place. In that sense, the regeneration of an ecosystem is not that different from the regeneration of a soul. It’s painful, it’s brutal, and it’s beautiful.

Like nature, we all experience little deaths until the big one comes along. We let go of pieces of ourselves, like flowers leaving the petals in the wind. Like waves retreating, leaving fragments of seashells behind.

To earn our freedom is to allow ourselves to experience those little deaths and celebrate the endings as much as we do the beginnings.

Doorway To Freedom

Sometimes the endings choose us, as we choose them. To earn our freedom, we have to trust in them. Trust is a strange thing to find in life; it’s not always there when we need it the most, and sometimes it’s there when we expect it the least.

No Other Choice

We tend to think of nature as this trustworthy collection of life, but that’s not always the case. Even nature can become unpredictable and disappoint us. She can leave us with no food and pour down heavy rains on our heads. Yet, as humans, we are bound to keep trusting her because we have no other choice. She is our beginning and ending.
