Great Uncertainties Make Up The Best Stories

Birds have to leave their comfort zones, no matter how warm and cozy their nests are. Their first wing flaps are filled with great uncertainty, towards the air and life. We also continuously plunge into great uncertainties.

A flock of birds may not easily manage to fly, but they can’t resist to the idea of reaching the great blue sky, so they try, and when they fall, they try again.

The very first moment that they see the world in motion for the first time must be priceless. Similarly, we do not know if we will take flight, but we just keep on trying, until we do.

Home Sweet Home

One of the great life lessons we can learn from nature is the tendency to ultimately return home, and birds are no exception. There is an invisible force that calls them to return home at the right time. From storks to swallows, flocks of birds return to the lands where they were born.

When the time comes, they go back to their birthplace, maybe wiser than they were before.

For us too, perhaps, our birthplace isn’t always the "right" place for us; but we can learn to recognize and respond to the “call” to return home like birds do, of course whenever and if that call finds us.

Hold The Line

What could be a better example of collective existence than a flock of starlings? Starlings fly in flocks, they build synchronized their rhythms with each other. The most common belief is that these massive groups do this to avoid predators; similarly, our staying together is about standing up to our predators. To better defend ourselves and our loved ones, we get quite creative too, and our best relationships arise from holding the line against life together.

Shake It Off

Paradise Birds are true stars, masters of color and performance; they are unapologetically eccentric. Many are adorned with wonderfully colorful and exotic feathers, and others create such striking dances and decorations that they can outshine the professional dancer. Perhaps we can learn from them to be more eccentric, more bold, and maybe to dance a little more often. That’s always a good idea.
